Camelbak - Quicklinks

I'm not sure about you, but filling my Camelbak before a ride and emptying it afterwards is one of my pet hates. BUT it is one of those things that has to be done as the convenience of a Camelbak is just too valueble!

I use a 2l Classic Camelbak and find that it is big enough to store a spare jacket, carry some spares & a first aid kit. Actually you will be surprised what I am able to fit in there. My Camelbak came out with this quicklinks feature, but I came across this today and thought I'll share this.

This nifty little quicklink is what prompted this post. They have made this new technology available for you to upgrade your old Camelbak connections and be able to reap the same benefits from it without upgrading your whole Camelbak.

This clever link allows you to disconnect your pipe from the reservoir without emptying the reservoir first, it has an 'autolock' that stops the water from leaking out. It saves you time as you don't have to weave the pipe from the camelbak and then empty it out. You just remove the reservoir and empty it out & let it hang to dry before it gets infested with mould! Remember once the mould is in, it is hard to get rid off. Prevention is better than cure.

Before your next ride you just fill the reservoir & re-connect it without having to faff with your whole bag & pipe under the tap. I find this very useful.
